Alyson Spina is a Canadian-born Italian soprano based in New York City.
Ms. Spina is known for “her ringing top [and] delightful stage presence"(Classical Crossover Magazine). Ms. Spina has sung operatic and concert repertoire worldwide (Italy, Romania, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, Turkey, Greece) and across Canada and the United States. Though Ms. Spina specializes in opera & sacred/oratorio repertoire, she enjoys visiting the world of musical theater from time to time. Notable roles in her repertoire include Countess Almaviva from Le nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Donna Anna / Donna Elvira, Don Giovanni (Mozart), Blanche from Dialogues des Carmélites (Poulenc), Nella in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi, Maria in The Sound of Music, and Signora Nacarelli in The Light In The Piazza.
Ms. Spina was a named a finalist for the International Talents of the World Competition in 2019 and a final contender for the top award in the Virginia Zeani International Voice Competition in 2018. She has performed on stage with international superstars such as Anna Netrebko and Josh Groban and holds a resident soprano position at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity on the Upper East Side of New York.
