Biography

Alyson Spina is an Italian-Canadian soprano who originally hails from Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Ms. Spina is known for “her ringing top, and a robust, vibrant chest voice,” as well as her delightful and engaging stage presence. Ms. Spina has sung operatic and concert repertoire worldwide, in countries such as Italy, Romania, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, as well as regularly across Canada and the USA. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kings Theater, the Wang Center at Opera Naples, the Beacon Theater, the Four Seasons Centre, the Kupferberg Center for the Arts, the Romanian National Opera House, the Hungarian Opera Theatre of Cluj-Napoca, and many other reputable venues. Performance highlights include her work as a featured artist with the Queens Symphony Orchestra, the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, the Metro Chamber Orchestra of Brooklyn, the New Jersey Metropolis Chamber Orchestra, the Astoria Choir & Orchestra, the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra, the Rockland County Choral Society, the Independent Symphony Orchestra of Baja California Sur, Ars Totus, Utopia Opera, Metro Youth Opera, and Amore Opera. Notable operatic roles in her repertoire include Countess Almaviva, Le nozze di Figaro(Mozart), Donna Anna / Donna Elvira, Don Giovanni(Mozart), Blanche, Dialogues des Carmélites(Poulenc)...
